About The Position

The Registered Nurse uses critical thinking skills to coordinate and provide safe, quality patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The RN also assists with organizing patient care activities as assigned. This is a per-diem ICU position on the night shift.

Requirements

• Graduate of a Registered Nurse program.
• Required Registered Nurse license.
• BLS/CPR certification from the American Heart Association.
• ACLS certification from the American Heart Association; required within 90 days for inexperienced RNs.
• NIH Stroke Certification within 60 days of hire or transfer.
• PALS within 90 days of hire or transfer.
• For inexperienced RNs, Basic EKG, Critical Care Course, and Trauma Course within 6 months.
• TNCC within 18 months of hire or transfer.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients’ physical, psychosocial, educational, and growth and developmental needs.
• Develop a written plan of care using assessment data.
• Implement the nursing care plan.
• Evaluate patients’ responses to interventions.
• Demonstrate leadership skills.
• Assist in organizing patient care activities.
