RN - Freestanding Emergency Department / Urgent Care

About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) is a core member of ProMedica’s patient care team, providing patient-centered care with sensitivity and respect for the diversity of human experience. The RN coordinates each patient’s plan of care and communicates with patients, families, and the health care team through open communication, mutual respect, and shared decision-making. The RN assesses patients, formulates nursing diagnoses, plans and implements care, and evaluates the effectiveness of the care plan. The position works collaboratively with nurses and support staff to achieve patient care goals and improve patient care, the work environment, and patient and staff satisfaction. This role is in the Freestanding Emergency Department / Urgent Care at Toledo Hospital Emergency and Urgent Care, with a scheduled shift of 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. and 36 weekly hours.

Requirements

Associate degree in Nursing.
Two years of critical care experience in ICU or ED.
Current CPR, BLS, ALS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications.
For Ohio RNs, complete 24 contact hours of continuing education during the licensure period, including at least one contact hour related to Chapter 4723 of the Ohio nurse practice code and rules.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
Three to five years of critical care experience in ICU or ED.
TNCC certification.
