About The Position
Caris Healthcare’s Registered Nurse provides nursing care to patients according to physician orders. The role involves assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating total patient care and nursing care plans for each patient. The RN works with patients, families, partners, and the interdisciplinary team to develop individualized care plans, advocates for patients, and supervises aides and licensed practical nurses. The position participates in a rotating on-call schedule and provides back-up assistance as requested. Requirements
- Must be a Registered Nurse licensed in the state of operation.
- Nursing experience is required.
- Must possess sound knowledge of nursing principles, procedures, and elements of patient and family teaching.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in hospice or home health is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assess, monitor, and document patients’ symptoms using required software.
- Collaborate with patients, families, partners, and the interdisciplinary team to develop individualized plans of care.
- Serve as a patient advocate by providing information on patient rights, grievance procedures, reimbursement procedures, and patient and family responsibilities.
- Observe and evaluate patients’ physical and emotional status, safety factors, and family dynamics to determine caregiver education needs.
- Supervise, evaluate, and direct aides and licensed practical nurses in accordance with guidelines and regulations.
- Participate in a rotating on-call schedule and provide back-up assistance as requested.
