About The Position

Cedar Ridge Village is a senior living community offering independent living, assisted living, short-term rehabilitation, and long-term care. The Registered Nurse provides comprehensive nursing care to residents and communicates effectively with team members, families, physicians, and allied health professionals. The role is part time, with openings of up to 29 hours per week. Shifts generally range from 4 to 12 hours; listed schedules include days (6 a.m.–6:30 p.m.), evenings (6 p.m.–10 p.m.), and nights (6 p.m.–6:30 a.m.).

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school.
• Current, unencumbered RN license in the state of employment.
• Maintain professional licensure and continuing education unit requirements.
• Current CPR certification.

Nice To Haves

• One to two years of nursing experience in long-term care and/or a skilled nursing facility; experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality nursing care in accordance with federal, state, and company requirements and residents’ acuity.
• Make daily rounds to assess each resident’s condition and comfort.
• Follow safety policies when providing nursing care and help ensure resident safety.
• Follow infection-control guidelines and initiate procedures to protect residents from injury and infection.
• Assess and evaluate changes in residents’ conditions and implement appropriate interventions.
• Communicate with physicians as indicated by residents’ needs or status and ensure follow-through.
• Maintain handoff communications with the oncoming shift about residents’ care needs.
• Oversee direct-care staff and ensure assigned tasks and care are completed.
• Speak, read, and write English in an understandable manner.
• Apply principles of basic general math.
