About The Position

The Registered Nurse works in Ortho Trauma at Seton Medical Center Hays in Kyle, Texas, on a full-time day shift. The role implements and monitors patient care plans, monitors and communicates patient condition, coordinates care across disciplines, carries out physician and nursing orders, and coordinates discharge planning with the healthcare team.

Requirements

• BLS Provider certification obtained within 30 days of hire or job transfer; American Heart Association or American Red Cross certification is accepted.
• Registered Nurse credential from the Texas Board of Nursing obtained before hire or job transfer.
• Diploma from an accredited school or college of nursing, or required professional licensure at the time of hire.

• One year of RN experience.

Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor patient care plans.
• Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
• Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patient discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
