About The Position

As a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department, you will deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. You will utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care while actively engaging patients and families throughout the continuum. You will monitor patient conditions, prioritize care, respond quickly to changes, and adjust care plans as needed—collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to drive positive patient outcomes. You will apply evidence-based practices and participate in quality initiatives and shared governance to continuously improve care processes and outcomes. You will promote a culture of safety by recognizing risks, intervening appropriately, and ensuring a safe environment for patients and team members. You will administer medications, treatments, and therapies in accordance with established protocols while maintaining accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record. You will demonstrate strong communication, collaboration, and conflict resolution skills, supporting team-based care and appropriate delegation. You may float to other units or care areas as needed to support patient care, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a high-acuity setting. You will uphold ethical standards, adhere to the ANA Code of Ethics, and contribute to an inclusive, patient-centered care environment. You will support ongoing professional development by completing required education, maintaining certifications, and seeking growth opportunities. Requirements

  • RN license in applicable state
  • BLS required
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program
  • Typically 1+ year of clinical nursing experience preferred
  • Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking.
  • Ability to prioritize and respond in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Organization, adaptability, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to perform frequent standing, walking, lifting, and patient handling, including assisting with transfers.
  • Must respond quickly to changes in patient and/or unit conditions.
  • Exposure to clinical environments requiring appropriate protective equipment.
