Temporary Registered Nurse - Med/Surg Acute
About The Position
Lower Bucks Hospital, a member of Prime Healthcare, is seeking a Registered Nurse for its Med/Surg/Telemetry Unit. The hospital serves the Lower Bucks County region with medical, surgical, and emergency care and has more than 200 physicians and 700 employees. The Registered Nurse delivers safe patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The role provides direct patient care within the scope of practice and directs and guides patient and family teaching and the activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care. The nurse is accountable for care delivered to assigned patients, communicates changes in patients’ clinical conditions to physicians, and responds quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment.
Requirements
- Current and valid state RN license.
- Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
- ACLS certificate within 30 days of hire and maintain current (listed as preferred).
Nice To Haves
- Previous acute care hospital experience.
- Ventilator management experience.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Current ACLS certificate.
Responsibilities
- Deliver safe patient care using assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Provide direct patient care within the scope of practice.
- Direct and guide patient and family teaching and the activities of other nursing personnel.
- Maintain standards of care in the Med/Surg/Telemetry Unit.
- Remain accountable for the care provided to assigned patients.
- Communicate changes in patients’ clinical conditions to physicians, including cardiac monitoring, diagnostic study results, and symptoms.
- Respond quickly and accurately to changes in patients’ condition or response to treatment.
