About The Position

Lower Bucks Hospital, a member of Prime Healthcare, is seeking a Registered Nurse for its Med/Surg Acute setting. The nurse delivers safe patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, and provides direct patient care within the scope of practice. The role includes maintaining standards of care in the Med/Surg/Telemetry Unit and being accountable for the care of assigned patients.

Requirements

• Current and valid state RN license.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Current ACLS certificate within 30 days of hire and maintain current; preferred.

Nice To Haves

• Previous acute-care hospital experience.
• Ventilator management experience.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
• Current ACLS certificate within 30 days of hire and maintain current.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Provide direct patient care within the scope of practice.
• Direct and guide patient and family teaching and the activities of other nursing personnel.
• Maintain standards of care in the Med/Surg/Telemetry Unit.
• Remain directly responsible and accountable for the care provided to assigned patients.
• Communicate with physicians about changes in patients’ clinical conditions, including cardiac monitoring, diagnostic study results, and symptoms.
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition or response to treatment.
