Registered Nurse - Cancer Center Infusion
About The Position
St. Elizabeth Healthcare is hiring a Registered Nurse for Cancer Care at Grant County Hospital. The nurse provides evidence-based clinical care to designated patients using the nursing process: assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care in accordance with established ethical and cultural codes and standards of nursing practice. The role works collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to achieve patient outcomes and requires respectful, dignified, kind, and empathetic interactions with patients, families, visitors, and colleagues, regardless of cultural background.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
- If eligible, hold a Compact (multi-state) license in the primary state of residence.
- Meet contact-hour requirements for licensure, including all state-required courses.
- Have an education focus that supports practice in the assigned clinical area.
- Demonstrate knowledge of nursing theory, clinical practice standards, procedures, and policies.
- Demonstrate competence in mathematical calculations associated with medication administration.
- Be competent to independently perform safe nursing skills and procedures.
- Successfully complete preceptorship and orientation to the facility and clinical area.
- Be able to think critically and solve problems in routine and emergency situations.
