About The Position
The UMC TLC Cancer Center Clinic and Infusion Center provides care to adult and pediatric patients with non-cancerous, hematology, and/or oncology conditions. The Registered Nurse assesses, implements or delegates, plans, and evaluates total nursing care in accordance with established philosophy while providing and directing patient care for a group of patients. The nurse relates effectively with other departments to support optimal continuity of care.
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing.
- Valid Texas RN License or eligible Compact License.
- At least 1 year of RN experience.
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
- BSN required, or must be obtained within 3 years of hire.
- Complete ONS Fundamentals of Chemotherapy within 90 days.
Nice To Haves
- Oncology experience preferred.
