Registered Nurse - Cancer Center Infusion
About The Position
St. Elizabeth Healthcare is hiring a Registered Nurse for Cancer Care at Grant County Hospital. The nurse provides evidence-based clinical care to designated patients using the nursing process: assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care in accordance with ethical and cultural codes and nursing practice standards. The nurse collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to achieve patient outcomes and demonstrates respect, dignity, kindness, and empathy toward patients, families, visitors, and colleagues regardless of cultural background. This is a part-time position scheduled for 8 hours per week on the first shift.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
- If eligible, hold a Compact (multi-state) License in the primary state of residence.
- Meet contact-hour requirements for licensure, including all state-required courses.
- Have an educational focus that supports practice in the assigned clinical area.
- Demonstrate knowledge of nursing theory, clinical practice standards, procedures, and policies.
- Demonstrate competence in mathematical calculations associated with medication administration.
- Be competent to independently perform safe nursing skills and procedures.
- Successfully complete preceptorship and orientation to the facility and clinical area.
- Be able to critically think and problem solve in routine and emergency situations.
