About The Position

The Registered Nurse works with other healthcare professionals to treat patients with a variety of injuries, illnesses, or disabilities. The nurse monitors patients, administers medications, maintains records, consults with healthcare providers, and educates patients. This full-time position is on the General Surgery 9CD unit at Atlantic Health Overlook Medical Center, with a 7 a.m.–7 p.m. schedule.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse.
• BLS certification.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing; ASN graduates must complete BSN studies within five years of their start date.
• Master’s degree in nursing or a related field.
• At least one year of experience in nursing or a relevant area.
• ACLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and complete healthcare records and reports.
• Administer medications and monitor patients for side effects and reactions.
• Prescribe assistive medical devices and related treatments.
• Monitor, report, and record symptoms or changes in patients’ conditions.
• Assess, implement, plan, or evaluate patient nursing care plans in collaboration with healthcare team members.
• Record patient vital signs and medical information.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
