About The Position

The Direct Patient Care Registered Nurse (DPC RN) is a licensed professional who demonstrates proficiency in assessment, technical skills, communication, critical thinking, interpersonal skills, planning, intervention, evaluation, flexibility, organizational skills, professional accountability, leadership, and service. The nurse delivers patient- and family-centered care in a culturally competent manner while using and promoting evidence-based standards for quality, safety, and service.

This is a temporary position in Baptist Health’s Seasonal Nursing Pool. Candidates select a 12-, 16-, 18-, or 24-week contract and must float to hospital areas as needed or assigned. The schedule requires three 12-hour shifts per week and every other weekend, totaling 36 hours per week. Seasonal Nursing Pool employees are not flexed, do not accrue or receive PTO, and may not request time off during the agreement period. They are not eligible for Boca Raton Regional or Baptist Health South Florida benefits, shift differentials, or bonus programs.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience.
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN).
• Licensed Registered Nurse eligible to practice in Florida.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications from the AHA or American Red Cross, as dependent upon the unit.
• Commit to a 12-, 16-, 18-, or 24-week seasonal contract.
• Work every other weekend during the agreement period.
• Float to areas within the hospital as needed or assigned.
