About The Position

The Direct Patient Care Registered Nurse (DPC RN) is a licensed professional who demonstrates proficiency in assessment, technical skills, communication, critical thinking, interpersonal skills, planning, intervention, evaluation, flexibility, organization, professional accountability, leadership, and service. The nurse delivers patient- and family-centered care in a culturally competent manner, using and promoting evidence-based standards for quality, safety, and service.

This is a temporary position in the Baptist Health Seasonal Nursing Pool. Candidates select a 12-, 16-, 18-, or 24-week agreement. Nurses must float to hospital areas as needed or assigned and work three 12-hour shifts per week, including every other weekend, for 36 hours per week during the agreement. Seasonal Nursing Pool employees will not be flexed, do not accrue or receive PTO, and may not request time off during the agreement. They are not eligible for Baptist Health benefits, shift differentials, or bonus programs.

The estimated pay is $64.00 per hour, depending on shift as applicable.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of acute Medical Surgical/Ortho experience.
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN).
• Licensed Registered Nurse eligible to practice in Florida.
• BLS certification required.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross, as dependent upon unit.
