About The Position

The Direct Patient Care Registered Nurse (DPC RN) is a licensed professional who demonstrates proficiency in assessment, technical skills, communication, critical thinking, interpersonal skills, planning, intervention, evaluation, flexibility, organizational skills, professional accountability, leadership, and service. The RN delivers patient- and family-centered care in a culturally competent manner, using and promoting evidence-based practice standards for quality, safety, and service.

This is a temporary position in the Baptist Health Seasonal Nursing Pool. Candidates select a 12-, 16-, 18-, or 24-week contract. The RN must float to all hospital areas as needed or assigned and work any three 12-hour shifts per week, including every other weekend, for a total of 36 hours per week during the agreement. Seasonal Pool employees are not flexed, do not accrue or receive PTO, may not request time off during the agreement, and are not eligible for Baptist Health or Boca Raton Regional benefits, shift differentials, or bonus programs. The estimated pay is $65.00 per hour, depending on shift as applicable.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of acute Medical-Surgical Telemetry experience.
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN).
• Licensed Registered Nurse eligible to practice in Florida.
• BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
• Certification in BLS, ACLS, and, depending on the unit, PALS and NRP, from the AHA or American Red Cross.
