About The Position

The Direct Patient Care Registered Nurse (DPC RN) is a licensed professional who demonstrates proficiency in assessment, technical skills, communication, critical thinking, interpersonal skills, planning, intervention, evaluation, flexibility, organization, professional accountability, leadership, and service. The nurse delivers patient- and family-centered care in a culturally competent manner, using and promoting evidence-based standards for quality, safety, and service.

This is a temporary position in the Baptist Health Seasonal Nursing Pool. Candidates may choose a 12-, 16-, 18-, or 24-week contract. Nurses may be assigned to any area within the hospital and must work three 12-hour shifts per week, including every other weekend, for 36 hours per week during the agreement period. Seasonal Pool employees are not flexed, do not accrue or receive PTO, and may not request time off during the agreement period. They are not eligible for Baptist Health benefits, shift differentials, or bonus programs. Estimated pay is $65.00 per hour, depending on shift as applicable.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience.
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN).
• Registered Nurse licensed and eligible to practice in Florida.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross, as applicable to the unit.
• Commit to a 12-, 16-, 18-, or 24-week contract.
• Availability to work any three 12-hour shifts per week and every other weekend during the agreement period.
