About The Position
The Center for Behavioral Health Maryland Heights is seeking a full-time Behavioral Health Registered Nurse for the day shift, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. The 20-bed psychiatric hospital serves geriatric patients with mental health needs, including cognitive illnesses, in a supportive and therapeutic environment. The RN assesses patient needs, implements care plans, administers medications, and educates patients and families while helping maintain a safe, compliant, and healing environment.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Active RN license in Missouri.
- CPR/BLS required.
Nice To Haves
- One year of nursing experience in a behavioral or geriatric setting.
Responsibilities
- Deliver care in accordance with nursing standards and facility policies.
- Monitor patient status and communicate changes to providers.
- Administer and accurately document medications.
- Maintain compliance with licensing and accreditation standards.
- Use universal precautions and support de-escalation protocols.
- Educate patients and families.
