Registered Nurse RN, Day Shift
About The Position
Southridge Behavioral Hospital is a new, state-of-the-art behavioral health facility operated as a joint venture with Trinity Health System and Universal Health Services. The hospital serves up to 96 adult and geriatric patients across four units. The Registered Nurse coordinates and evaluates patient care in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, following the nursing process and applicable standards of care and practice. The RN oversees and directs the Mental Health Technicians on their unit to help meet patients’ needs and ensure their safety. This is a full-time day-shift position, working 7:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. The hospital is located in Byron Center, Michigan, on the south side of Grand Rapids.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited professional nursing program.
- Hold a Registered Nurse license issued by the State of Michigan.

- At least three years of experience in a psychiatric health-care facility.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and evaluate patient care through collaborative efforts with the interdisciplinary team.
- Provide care in accordance with the nursing process and standards of care and practice.
- Oversee and direct Mental Health Technicians on the unit to support patient safety and needs.
