About The Position

Select Specialty Hospital is a critical illness recovery hospital providing inpatient post-ICU services to chronic, critically ill patients who need extended healing and recovery. Registered Nurses provide compassionate care and treatment to patients throughout their recovery. The role is based in Davenport, Iowa, and is PRN/per diem on the day shift, with a minimum requirement of four shifts in a six-week period. The position includes an extensive orientation program and may provide opportunities to pursue full-time employment.

Requirements

• Valid state Registered Nurse license.
• BLS certification required at hire.
• ACLS certification required at hire.

Responsibilities

• Receive admissions and/or transfers to the unit.
• Perform initial and ongoing systematic patient assessments.
• Complete timely and accurate documentation using appropriate systems.
• Interpret assessment and diagnostic data, including laboratory results and telemetry.
• Ensure medical orders are transcribed and processed accurately.
• Demonstrate competence during rapid response and code events.
• Instruct and counsel patients and families.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
