About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) Endo provides patient care by assessing, diagnosing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care using outcome identification and evidence-based practice. As an integral member of the healthcare team, the RN coordinates care and communicates and collaborates with team members, patients, and patients’ families or significant others. The position requires maintaining high standards of professional ethics and Endo experience. The schedule is a first-shift, on-site role working four 10-hour shifts, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., for 40 hours per week.

Requirements

Endo experience required.
Knowledge of nursing skills, hospital practices, procedures, and standards.
Strong communication skills.
Ability to coordinate the efforts of a team of care providers.
Valid New Jersey RN license, which must be presented and maintained in accordance with the State of New Jersey Licensing Board.
Must perfect skills and stay current with nursing practice through ongoing education, journals, and similar resources.

Responsibilities

Assess patients and develop, implement, and evaluate plans of care.
Administer, monitor, and document therapeutic interventions and regimes.
Effectively manage rapidly changing situations.
Participate in clinical decision-making.
Educate patients and families or responsible parties about disease processes, individual care needs, wellness, and safety.
Delegate and monitor care provided by other nursing department and healthcare team members.
Demonstrate standard precautions and patient safety principles in practice.
Participate in orientation, education, and development of the healthcare team.
Identify and participate in performance improvement activities.
Maintain professional and departmental competencies.
Coordinate patient care and communicate and collaborate with healthcare team members, patients, and families.
