About The Position

The Registered Nurse provides and coordinates comprehensive patient care through the nursing process, delivering safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures. The RN applies evidence-based practice, clinical decision-making, compassionate care, and skilled communication while helping create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum. The position is on the 24-bed Intermediate Care stepdown unit at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. The unit bridges the intensive care and general medical units and serves patients with pulmonary, neurological, renal, geriatric, and infectious disease processes who require an increased level of care and frequent bedside monitoring. The schedule is 7 a.m.–7 p.m., including every third weekend, for 35.1 hours per week.

Requirements

Completion of an accredited or approved nursing program.
An active Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices.
Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association.
More than one year of RN experience.
