About The Position
This is a travel Registered Nurse assignment for a Long-Term Care (LTC) facility located in Hilo, Hawaii. The assignment is for 13 weeks, starting on October 5, 2026. The role involves working in a hospital-based environment with an on-site Long Term Care facility. The pay rate is estimated between $2,118–$2,194 per week, with no guaranteed hours. The shift is flexible and may include weekends and holidays.
Requirements
- Hawaii Registered Nurse license active by start date (HI license must be held by assignment start)
- If not currently licensed in Hawaii, must apply upon acceptance and obtain HI license prior to start
- Ability to perform the responsibilities listed and work in a hospital-based LTC unit
- Must arrive the Thursday before start to complete employee health appointment per policy
- Willingness to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays
Responsibilities
- Conduct patient assessments and implement nursing care plans within scope of practice
- Administer medications and monitor patient responses; document findings
- Notify MD/NP of pertinent information and coordinate changes in care
- Admit and discharge patients as appropriate for a long-term care unit
- Assist with activities of daily living and mobility needs
- Provide specialized care, including gastrostomy tube care, urinary catheter care, nebulized treatment, wound VAC care, CPAP support, and tracheostomy care
- Perform other assigned duties related to long-term care within the hospital setting
