About The Position

The Registered Nurse works in Ortho Trauma at Seton Medical Center Hays in Kyle, Texas, on a part-time day shift. The nurse implements and monitors patient care plans, monitors and records patient conditions, and communicates condition updates as appropriate. The role coordinates care among disciplines, carries out physician and nursing orders, and coordinates discharge planning with the healthcare team.

Requirements

• BLS Provider certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross, obtained within 30 days of hire or job transfer.
• Registered Nurse credential from the Texas Board of Nursing, obtained before hire or job transfer.
• Diploma from an accredited school or college of nursing, or required professional licensure at time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor patient care plans.
• Monitor and record patient condition and communicate updates as appropriate.
• Serve as the primary coordinator of all disciplines to support well-coordinated patient care.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patient discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
