About The Position
Baptist Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Emergency Department team at Baptist Emergency at Nassau Crossing in Yulee, Florida. This is a Full-Time opportunity working night shift. Scheduled Shift: 7:00 PM-7:00 AM. Baptist Emergency at Nassau Crossing brings high-quality emergency services to the growing communities of Nassau County and North Florida. The facility is designed to provide efficient, patient-focused emergency care with convenient access for local residents. As part of the emergency care team, you will help deliver compassionate, high-quality care to patients experiencing urgent and emergent medical conditions. Provides for patient needs as recognized through use of the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) and the mission statement; organization and supervision of care provided by supportive personnel; coordination of care provided by ancillary services • Including patients and significant others (SO)/families in developing an individualized plan of care • Education of patients/SO/families to their disease process and plan of care • Serves as patient advocate and responsible for providing care to patients requiring treatment of any medical, surgical, or other condition, including chronic medical and minor injuries or illnesses. Requirements
- 1-2 years Medical Surgical Nursing Experience
- Associate of Science in Nursing Required
- Licensed Registered Nurse Required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
Nice To Haves
- Emergency Department Experience Preferred
- Hospital Experience
- Telemetry Experience
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing Preferred
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Preferred
- Certified Emergency Registered Nurse (CEN) Preferred
- Conscious Sedation Certification Preferred
- NIH Stroke Scale Certification Preferred
- Trauma Nurse Core Course Certification (TNCC) Preferred
- Certification- ACLS required within 6 months for the Adult EDs and Free Standing EDs
- PALS required within 1 year of hire for the Free Standing EDs and required within 6 months for WCH ED.
Responsibilities
- Provide care to patients requiring treatment of any medical, surgical, or other condition
- Embrace and uphold the hospital mission statement
- Educate patients and families to their disease process and plan of care
- Interact with physicians and other departments within the hospital
- Coordinate care provided by ancillary services
- Act as the patient advocate
- Participate in staff meetings and other unit activities
- Including patients and significant others (SO)/families in developing an individualized plan of care
- Education of patients/SO/families to their disease process and plan of care
- Serves as patient advocate and responsible for providing care to patients requiring treatment of any medical, surgical, or other condition, including chronic medical and minor injuries or illnesses.
