About The Position

Texas Health Frisco is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) for their Emergency Department (ED) to provide high-quality patient care. This full-time night position involves responding to patient needs, engaging families, and creating a healing environment. The role emphasizes professional behaviors, attentive reassurance, and a supportive attitude. Texas Health Frisco is a 93-bed acute-care hospital known for its women's services, outpatient surgery, NICU, and emergency medicine. It is a Pathway to Excellence Hospital, Joint Commission certified, and a Baby Friendly designated facility.

Requirements

Nursing Diploma in nursing required or Associate’s degree in nursing required or Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred
1 year of experience as a registered nurse required or completion of an RN residency program required
RN – Registered Nurse upon hire required
BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly upon hire required
ACLS – Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 90 days
CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention Training maintained annually within 90 days required
PALS – Pediatric Advanced Life Support within 90 days
TNCC – Trauma Nursing Core Course within 6 months required
NRP – Essential Neonatal Resuscitation Program if floating to Mother baby within 90 days required
A high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

2 years of experience as an RN in an ED acute care setting strongly preferred
Completion of ED residency a plus
