About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Emergency Department (ED) at Texas Health Frisco plays a crucial role in delivering high-quality patient care. This full-time night position involves working 36 hours per week, with rotating weekend and holiday requirements. The ED offers self-scheduling to promote work-life balance, opportunities for educational and career growth, and a top-notch, engaging, and supportive team environment.

Requirements

  • Nursing Diploma in nursing required or Associate’s degree in nursing required or Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred
  • 1 year of experience as a registered nurse required or completion of an RN residency program required
  • RN – Registered Nurse upon hire required
  • BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly upon hire required
  • ACLS – Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 90 days
  • CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention Training maintained annually within 90 days required
  • PALS – Pediatric Advanced Life Support within 90 days
  • TNCC – Trauma Nursing Core Course within 6 months required
  • NRP – Essential Neonatal Resuscitation Program if floating to Mother baby within 90 days required
  • A high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

  • 2 years of experience as an RN in an ED acute care setting strongly preferred; completion of ED residency a plus
