Registered Nurse (RN) - PICU/CICU
About The Position
Mary Bridge Children's Hospital & Health Network is seeking a staff Registered Nurse to join its hospital-based team in the PICU/CICU. The role uses specialized nursing knowledge and training to provide care through a multidisciplinary approach. Nurses organize and deliver patient care, collaborate with colleagues, and support quality improvement, patient experience, and cost reduction. The position is part of MultiCare's effort to build a best-in-class nursing organization, where nurses contribute to clinical decision-making, communicate openly, and receive support for professional development. Mary Bridge Children's provides pediatric hospital, clinic, and specialty services for children and families throughout the South Sound.
Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington State or Multistate License endorsement (MLS).
- Current BLS certification.
- ACLS, NALS, PALS, TNCC, or NRP certification, as required by the facility or department.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN).
- Certification in a specialty area.
- One year of experience in an acute care setting.
- CICU experience, ideally greater than two years.
Responsibilities
- Organize patient care by prioritizing, delegating, delivering, and evaluating care on an ongoing basis.
- Use nursing education and experience to provide care according to the nursing process and hospital policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Collaborate with the nursing team to improve quality of care, patient experience, and cost efficiency.
- Foster a learning environment for patients and families, nursing staff, and other members of the health care team.
- Advocate for ethical, holistic care that promotes the autonomy, dignity, and health of patients from diverse ethnic and social backgrounds.
