About The Position

This position may qualify for a sign-on bonus. The Registered Nurse provides direct clinical patient care and is responsible for assessing, planning, and implementing care for assigned patients on a per-shift and unit-level basis. The role includes supervising staff to whom care is delegated and supporting the CNO in ensuring high-quality, safe, and appropriate nursing care, clinical staff competency, and effective resource management related to patient care.

Requirements

Graduate from a state-approved or accredited school of nursing.
Hold a current license, certification, or registration required by law, regulation, or policy in the state of practice.
CPR certification.
AHA BLS certification.
AHA ACLS, PALS, and/or NRP certification if applicable under corporate policy for the unit of hire.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Nursing.
Recent acute care experience.

Responsibilities

Provide high-quality, safe, cost-effective, total nursing care to patients.
Coordinate and integrate patient care using the nursing process.
Direct care according to established safety, risk management, quality improvement, and infection control standards, with the goal of discharging patients after providing an optimum level of care.
Coordinate and plan patient care within the prescribed medical regime.
Administer medications safely and promptly in accordance with hospital policy.
Fulfill Hospital Incident Command System responsibilities, assignments, tasks, and roles as directed during emergencies or disasters.
Know the Hospital’s emergency codes, their purposes, and the appropriate actions for each; follow related hospital policies and procedures.
Supervise staff to whom appropriate care is delegated.
Support the CNO in ensuring high-quality, safe, and appropriate nursing care, clinical staff competency, and appropriate resource management.
