About The Position

Tyson is hiring a Registered Nurse for a second-shift occupational health role in Hope, Arkansas. The position supports workplace health and safety by promoting and restoring health, preventing illness and injury, and protecting team members from work-related and environmental hazards. Occupational health experience is not required; on-the-job training will be provided.

The schedule is Monday through Friday, 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., with occasional Saturdays based on production needs. The role may require occasional travel to local clinics or hospitals. Applicants should include an updated resume when applying.

Requirements

• Current unrestricted state license as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to get along with others.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Basic computer skills and comfort with electronic medical documentation.
• Ability to walk unassisted through the plant, respond quickly to medical emergencies, climb stairs, assess team members swiftly, and perform CPR if required.
• Willingness and ability to meet the physical requirements of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Nice To Haves

• At least one year of nursing experience is preferred but not required.
• New graduates with LPN experience and/or a BSN degree may be considered.
• Occupational health experience is not required; on-the-job training is provided.

Responsibilities

• Conduct medical history and physical assessments to promote health and prevent illness.
• Educate and guide team members on communicable diseases and wellness initiatives.
• Maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical standards.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support team members’ safety and recovery.
• Respond to incidents and emergencies by providing first aid and emergency care, including CPR when needed.
• Ensure team members and supervisors follow prescribed modified restricted-duty requirements.
• Use electronic medical documentation and basic computer tools.
