About The Position

Atlantic Health is hiring a per-diem Registered Nurse for night shifts in Labor and Delivery in Summit, New Jersey. The nurse works with other healthcare professionals to care for patients with injuries, illnesses, or disabilities. Duties include monitoring patients, administering medications, maintaining records, consulting with healthcare providers, and educating patients. Atlantic Health’s maternity centers provide coordinated care from obstetricians, neonatology specialists, midwives, and other support staff, with access to advanced neonatal medicine for high-risk mothers and infants.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse.
ACLS, NRP, and BLS certifications within six months of hire.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree in nursing; nurses with an ASN must complete BSN studies within five years of their start date.
Master’s degree in nursing or a related field.
Two or more years of experience in nursing or a relevant area.

Responsibilities

Maintain accurate and complete healthcare records and reports.
Administer medications and monitor patients for side effects and reactions.
Prescribe assistive medical devices and related treatments.
Monitor, report, and record symptoms or changes in patient conditions.
Assess, implement, plan, or evaluate patient nursing care plans in collaboration with healthcare team members.
Record patient vital signs and medical information.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
