Registered Nurse- Full Time, Days, Labor / Delivery, 7A-7P, Summit NJ
About The Position
The Registered Nurse works with other healthcare professionals to treat patients with injuries, illnesses, or disabilities. The role involves monitoring patients, administering medications, maintaining records, consulting with healthcare providers, and educating patients. This position is in Labor and Delivery at Overlook Medical Center in Summit, New Jersey, and is scheduled for full-time day shifts from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Atlantic Health is a nonprofit healthcare system headquartered in Morristown, New Jersey. Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse.
- BLS certification.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing; nurses with an Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) must complete BSN studies within five years of their start date.
- At least one year of experience in nursing or a relevant area.
- ACLS certification.
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and complete healthcare records and reports.
- Administer medications and monitor patients for side effects and reactions.
- Prescribe assistive medical devices and related treatments.
- Monitor, report, and record symptoms or changes in patient conditions.
- Assess, implement, plan, or evaluate patient nursing care plans in collaboration with healthcare team members.
- Record patient vital signs and medical information.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
