About The Position
VitalHire is hiring a travel Registered Nurse to work in Step Down at an acute care hospital in Mount Airy, North Carolina. The assignment is a 13-week travel contract scheduled for night shifts, three 12-hour shifts per week, from 18:45 to 7:15, totaling 36 hours per week. The listed start date is November 23, 2026. Estimated travel pay is $2,039 per week for 36 hours; the local pay rate is $46.21 per hour. One opening is available. The nurse must hold an active North Carolina or compact multistate RN license and current BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and Stroke Life Support certifications. At least two years of recent Step Down/PCU experience and Meditech experience are required. The role involves experience with cardiac drips, telemetry, BiPAP/CPAP, and central lines.
