About The Position
VitalHire is hiring a travel Registered Nurse for a PCU/Step Down role at an acute care hospital in Wilmington, North Carolina. This is a 13-week travel contract with two openings, starting November 23, 2026. The schedule is three 12-hour night shifts per week, 6:45 p.m. to 7:15 a.m., totaling 36 hours per week. Estimated travel pay is $2,114 per week for 36 hours. Local candidates are paid $48.14 per hour. VitalHire provides weekly direct deposit, a dedicated recruiter throughout the assignment, and help with licensing, credentialing, and onboarding.
Requirements
- Active North Carolina RN license or compact multistate RN license.
- Current BLS certification.
- Current ACLS certification.
- At least 2 years of recent cardiac experience in PCU, Step Down, or MS/Tele.
- First-time travelers are accepted if they have at least 2 years of cardiac experience.
Nice To Haves
- Current NIHSS certification is preferred.
