About The Position

The Registered Nurse II provides individualized, goal-directed care to patients and families at the competent level, applying the principles and practices of the nursing process. The nurse delivers safe and effective care and works with other members of the health care team to achieve desired results. The role is in Labor and Delivery at Medical University Hospital Authority (MUHA). This is a PRN position with a choice of 24 or 48 hours every six weeks.

Requirements

• Associate degree in nursing.
• Licensure as a registered nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or a compact state.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or an AHA-recognized equivalent, or American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.
