About The Position

The Registered Nurse II provides individualized, goal-directed patient care to patients and families at the competent level, under general supervision. The nurse uses the principles and practices of the nursing process, delivers safe and effective care, and works with other members of the healthcare team to achieve desired results. This PRN role is in Labor and Delivery at the Medical University Hospital Authority (MUHA). Shifts are 12 hours, with 24–48 hours per six-week schedule depending on the selected tier.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree in Nursing.
• Licensure as a registered nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or a compact state.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or an AHA-recognized equivalent, or American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider certification.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred.
