About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) in Labor and Delivery at Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital provides and coordinates comprehensive patient care through the nursing process, delivering safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures. The RN uses evidence-based practice, clinical decision-making, compassion, and skilled communication to help create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.

The Labor and Delivery Unit has 9 labor rooms, 2 OB operating rooms, and 1 recovery room. The team averages 75 deliveries per month and provides safe, quality care to patients. This is a part-time night position with a 7 p.m.–7 a.m. schedule and 24 hours per week.

Requirements

• Completion of an accredited or approved nursing program.
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) strongly preferred.
• Previous Labor and Delivery experience desired.
