About The Position

The Registered Nurse works in the Inpatient Rehabilitation department at Ascension Sacred Heart Hospital Pensacola in Pensacola, Florida. This full-time, day-shift role implements and monitors patient care plans, monitors and communicates patient condition, coordinates care across disciplines, carries out physician and nursing orders, and coordinates discharge planning with the healthcare team.

Requirements

• BLS Provider certification obtained within 30 days of hire or job transfer; American Heart Association or American Red Cross certification is accepted.
• Registered Nurse license from the Florida Board of Nursing, obtained before the hire or job transfer date; a current home-state license qualifying for compact-state recognition is also accepted.
• Diploma from an accredited school or college of nursing, or required professional licensure at the time of hire.

Nice To Haves

• Adult acute care and/or adult medical-surgical trauma experience.
• Inpatient adult rehabilitation experience.

Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor patient care plans.
• Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
• Serve as the primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patient discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
