About The Position

Frye Regional Medical Center is hiring a Registered Nurse for its 20-bed Inpatient Rehabilitation unit. The nurse works with therapists, physicians, and other interdisciplinary team members to help patients regain independence and return home safely. The unit offers self-scheduling, 12-hour shifts, and an every-other-weekend rotation. The position is full-time and works three 12-hour night shifts. A commitment-incentive bonus of $10,000 to $20,000 is offered.

Requirements

• Current active North Carolina RN license (single-state) or compact license.
• If relocating, update licensure to the new Primary State of Residence before employment begins.
• Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform plan-of-care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care treatments.
• Document patient care provided.
• Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate to the care team, physician, patient, and family.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
• Collaborate across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfers, discharge, referrals, and spiritual or psychosocial support needs.
• Evaluate patient and/or family learning needs and provide education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
• Advocate for patients' physical and emotional well-being.
