Registered Nurse (RN) - Medical Surgical Unit 3 - St. Joseph Warren Hospital
About The Position
The Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse at St. Joseph Warren Hospital delivers nursing care to patients with medical and surgical diagnoses. The role includes assessing patient status, implementing clinical nursing interventions, developing and carrying out patient care plans to improve outcomes, and maintaining a safe, therapeutic environment. The nurse collaborates with the interdisciplinary care team, collects vital signs, administers IV medications, documents care, assesses patient condition, and evaluates and updates plans of care. Medication administration must follow applicable state requirements and Mercy Health policies and procedures.
Requirements
- One year of RN experience.
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse.
- BLS Basic Life Support certification is required before direct patient care; ACLS Advanced Cardiac Life Support is acceptable in lieu of BLS.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
- Six months of RN experience in an acute care hospital setting.
- BLS certification preferred upon hire.
