About The Position

Saint Alphonsus Health System is seeking a Registered Nurse to join its Neuro Surgical Trauma (NeST) ICU team at the Regional Medical Center in Boise, Idaho. The unit is part of a Level II Trauma Center and Level I Comprehensive Stroke Center, and is Idaho’s first and only Neuro Surgical Trauma Unit. It has 18 critical care beds and uses advanced technology and equipment to provide intensive care for patients with neurological, surgical, or traumatic injuries and illnesses. Cases may include multiple trauma, spinal cord injuries, subarachnoid hemorrhage, new-onset seizures, and stroke. The role offers experience in a high-acuity environment alongside the state’s only board-certified, fellowship-trained neurocritical care physicians. The position is part-time on a 12-hour day shift. Saint Alphonsus describes itself as a faith-based, not-for-profit health system serving communities in Idaho, Oregon, and northern Nevada, with five hospitals, 595 licensed beds, and 86 clinic locations.

Requirements

Idaho or multistate Registered Nurse license; applicable multistate license holders must establish Idaho residency within six months.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications within designated timelines.

Critical care experience preferred.

Responsibilities
