About The Position

Saint Alphonsus Health System is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Neuro Surgical Trauma (NeST) ICU team at its Level II Trauma Center in Boise, Idaho. The position is based at the Regional Medical Center near I-184 and Curtis Road. The NeST ICU is Idaho’s first and only unit of its kind, with 18 critical care beds, and provides intensive care for patients with neurological, surgical, or traumatic injuries and illnesses. Nurses work in a state-of-the-art unit with advanced technology and equipment, alongside the state’s only board-certified, fellowship-trained neurocritical care physicians. The team serves patients at a Level II Trauma Center and Level I Comprehensive Stroke Center, including people with multi-trauma, spinal cord injuries, subarachnoid hemorrhage, seizures, and stroke. Saint Alphonsus Health System is a faith-based, not-for-profit health system serving communities in Idaho, Oregon, and northern Nevada. It has five hospitals, 595 licensed beds, and 86 clinic locations. Its stated goal is to improve health and well-being through patient-centered, physician-led, innovative, and community-based care.

Requirements

Idaho or multistate RN license; if applicable, establish Idaho residency within six months.
BLS certification.
ACLS and PALS certifications within designated timelines.

Critical care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide intensive-level care to patients with neurological, surgical, or traumatic injuries and illnesses.
Care for patients with conditions such as multi-trauma, spinal cord injuries, subarachnoid hemorrhage, seizures, and stroke.
Work in the Neuro Surgical Trauma ICU at a Level II Trauma Center and Level I Comprehensive Stroke Center.
Use advanced technology and equipment in an 18-bed critical care unit.
