Requirements

  • Active authorization to practice as a Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania
  • If you are within 60 days of graduating from a school of nursing approved by the State Board of Nursing, you are eligible to apply for this job posting.
  • At the time of appointment to a position, you must show proof of possession of a current, valid PA temporary practice permit or PA Registered Nurse license.
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
  • Conditional offer of employment will require satisfactory completion of a medical examination and drug screening.
  • Conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • All employees possessing an active temporary practice permit must obtain licensure as a Registered Nurse within the one (1) year period defined by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate the physical, mental, and emotional status of consumers
  • Develop and adjust treatment plans using nursing standards and facility guidelines
  • Administer medications and monitor responses to treatment
  • Work with interdisciplinary staff to coordinate care and share important observations
  • Follow crisis prevention, infection control, and safety procedures in all care settings
  • Provide direction, support, and education to assigned personnel
