About The Position

Select Specialty Hospital Ft. Worth - Plano is a critical illness recovery hospital providing inpatient post-ICU services to chronically and critically ill patients who need extended healing and recovery. Registered Nurses provide compassionate care to patients during vulnerable and difficult moments. The position is in Plano, Texas, and is scheduled for PRN day shifts from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. The minimum per diem commitment is four shifts in a six-week period. The role includes an extensive RN orientation program, and demonstrated skills and dedication may lead to potential full-time opportunities.

Requirements

• Valid state RN license.
• BLS certification required at hire.
• ACLS certification required at hire.

Responsibilities

• Receive admissions and/or transfers to the unit.
• Conduct initial and ongoing systematic patient assessments.
• Complete timely and accurate documentation using appropriate systems.
• Interpret assessment and diagnostic data, including laboratory results and telemetry.
• Ensure medical orders are transcribed and processed accurately.
• Demonstrate competence in rapid response and code events.
• Instruct and counsel patients and families.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
