About The Position

Select Specialty Hospital Ft. Worth - Plano is a critical illness recovery hospital providing inpatient post-ICU services to chronic, critically ill patients who need extended healing and recovery. Registered Nurses provide compassionate patient care throughout this recovery process. The role is PRN, with day shifts from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and a minimum requirement of four shifts in a six-week period. Compensation is $50.00 per hour. The employer offers an extensive RN orientation program and notes that strong performance may lead to potential full-time opportunities.

Requirements

• Valid state RN license.
• BLS certification required at hire.
• ACLS certification required at hire.

Responsibilities

• Receive admissions and/or transfers to the unit.
• Perform initial and ongoing systematic patient assessments.
• Complete timely and accurate documentation using appropriate systems.
• Interpret assessment and diagnostic data, including laboratory results and telemetry.
• Ensure medical orders are transcribed and processed accurately.
• Demonstrate competence during rapid response and code events.
• Instruct and counsel patients and families.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
