About The Position

Red Cliffs Health and Rehab is a skilled nursing facility in St. George, Utah, providing long-term and rehabilitation care. The Registered Nurse will provide professional nursing services to residents, including geriatric patients who require 24/7 care, and help ensure residents receive care consistent with their care plans and personal wishes.

This PRN position may include 12-hour shifts from 6 AM to 6 PM or partial shifts. Availability and facility needs will be discussed during the interview.

Requirements

• Hold an RN license in good standing.
• Communicate effectively.
• Be willing to learn local, state, and federal laws and regulations related to long-term care.

Responsibilities

• Order medications, equipment, and supplies as prescribed.
• Prepare and administer physician-ordered treatments and medications.
• Notify a resident’s physician and/or family members of changes in the resident’s condition.
• Provide nursing services such as tube feedings, suctioning, catheterization, and changing dressings, packs, and irrigations as necessary.
• Continuously observe and monitor seriously ill residents.
• Advocate for patients and ensure other health care team members provide care according to residents’ care plans and personal wishes.
• Complete required charting accurately and in a timely manner.
