About The Position

The Registered Nurse provides safe patient care in the Med/Surg/Telemetry Unit using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The role provides direct patient care within the scope of practice and directs and guides patient and family teaching as well as the activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care.

The Registered Nurse is directly responsible and accountable for care provided to assigned patients. The nurse communicates with physicians about changes in patients’ clinical conditions, including cardiac monitoring, diagnostic study results, and symptoms, and responds quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment. The position is in the Acute Telemetry department at Resurrection Medical Center, with a day schedule of 7:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. in 12-hour shifts.

Requirements

• Current and valid state RN license.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Current ACLS certificate within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
• Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.

Nice To Haves

• Previous acute care hospital experience preferred.
• Ventilator management experience preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
