About The Position

Boston IVF is a highly experienced fertility center, dedicated to providing innovative fertility treatments and reproductive technologies. They aim to give individuals and couples the best chance for a successful pregnancy. This role is for a full-time Registered Nurse (RN) at the Boston IVF, Portland, ME Facility, involving weekends and holiday rotation. The Nurse will be a dynamic member of the patient care team, offering education and guidance to fertility patients throughout their journey, serving as a treatment coordinator to ensure an optimal patient experience.

Requirements

  • Active RN license without limitations
  • Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and occasional evenings
  • Microsoft Office proficiency
  • Electronic Medical Records (EMR) experience

Nice To Haves

  • BSN Degree
  • BCLS and/or ACLS and/or IV certification
  • 2+ years practical experience working as a nurse
  • Prior experience in women’s healthcare

Responsibilities

  • Assists with coordination of care, management, and treatment of fertility patients.
  • Implements Provider directives through management of diagnostic and clinical treatment plans.
  • Provides care for assigned patients by applying appropriate RMA workflows, policies and clinical practice guidelines.
  • Reviews medical records and lab results. Ensure accurate data is entered into the EMR.
  • Communicates test results and patient instructions.
  • Provide patient education throughout all aspects of the treatment journey. Sets appropriate expectations, educates patient/couple on testing, treatment options and RMA processes.
  • Maintains accurate and timely documentation of patient care services in the EMR.
  • Demonstrates skills and judgment necessary to implement the plan of care. Performs nursing interventions and procedures necessary to promote the care and safety of the patient.
  • Establishes a compassionate environment by providing emotional and psychological support to patients; comforts patients by anticipating their anxieties, answering questions and addressing concerns.
  • Participates in the education and training of nurses. Mentor peers. Promotes a collaborative and productive environment both intra-departmentally as well as inter-departmentally.
  • Assists provider with in-office procedures, as needed.
