Requirements

  • Three years as a Registered Nurse (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or Four years of professional nursing experience providing care and treatment services consistent with those needed for individuals with a mental or physical injury or illness and/or a developmental disability.
  • Must possess active authorization to practice as a Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania.
  • All employees possessing an active temporary practice permit must obtain licensure as a Registered Nurse within the one (1) year period defined by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing.
  • Must be able to perform essential job functions.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily nursing care and guide staff across multiple patient care areas
  • Provide training, orientation, and ongoing development for nursing personnel
  • Communicate with leaders, nurses, and interdisciplinary team members to support continuity of care
  • Maintain a therapeutic setting and ensure compliance with hospital policies and procedures
  • Conduct patient abuse investigations following required guidelines and expectations
  • Prepare reports, maintain documentation, and complete evaluations and assessments
