Requirements

• Three years as a Registered Nurse (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or Four years of professional nursing experience providing care and treatment services consistent with those needed for individuals with a mental or physical injury or illness and/or a developmental disability.
• Active authorization to practice as a Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania.
• All employees possessing an active temporary practice permit must obtain licensure as a Registered Nurse within the one (1) year period defined by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing.
• Ability to perform essential job functions.
• Satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee nursing care, guide staff, and monitor treatment practices across assigned areas
• Provide training, support ongoing education, and evaluate employee performance
• Communicate with administrators, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams to maintain continuity of care
• Promote a therapeutic environment and ensure compliance with policies and procedures
• Conduct patient abuse investigations in accordance with required guidelines
• Maintain documentation, complete reports, and ensure accurate communication of patient information
