About The Position

Ascension is seeking a Registered Nurse Supervisor to lead and inspire their care team in Nursing Administration. This role involves directing daily clinical activities, coordinating interdisciplinary staff, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care. The supervisor will optimize shift operations by assessing patient needs, strategically distributing assignments, and empowering staff through mindful delegation. They will also drive clinical excellence by providing coaching, tracking performance, and collaborating with leadership on team development. Additionally, the supervisor will participate in interviews and provide hiring recommendations.

Requirements

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing required.
  • Required professional licensure/certification AND 1 year of cumulative job specific experience required.

Nice To Haves

  • Requires a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) accompanied by a minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, with a strong background in multi-specialty care.
  • Prior experience in an outpatient oncology infusion setting is required, alongside a proven track record in a leadership capacity (e.g., charge nurse or preceptor).

  • Drive clinical excellence and growth by providing immediate, constructive coaching to frontline staff, tracking performance trends, and collaborating with leadership on team development or corrective actions.
  • Shape the future of your unit by actively participating in interviews and providing strategic hiring recommendations to welcome top-talent professionals to the shift.
